FDA approves new broad spectrum sunscreen
The FDA has recently approved a novel sunscreen capable of providing long lasting extensive broad spectrum protection from damaging ultraviolet rays. Anthelios, manufactured by L’Oreal, contains the UVA blocking agent Mexoryl, and has long been available overseas. Mexoryl is unique because it is highly photostable (therefore longer lasting) and provides the most extensive UVA coverage of any available sunblock.
