FDA approves new broad spectrum sunscreen
The
FDA has recently approved a novel sunscreen capable of providing long
lasting extensive broad spectrum protection from damaging ultraviolet
rays. Anthelios, manufactured by L’Oreal, contains the UVA blocking
agent Mexoryl, and has long been available overseas. Many patients in
the US have ordered the product from Canada in
the past, but should be able to find it at the local pharmacy soon. Mexoryl
is unique because it is highly photostable (therefore longer lasting)
and provides the most extensive UVA coverage of any available sunblock.

new facial filler available in 2007

Juvederm may offer longer-lasting results as well as less painful injections.
Look for Juvederm in your dermatologist’s office in January.
